During this quarantine, we are all dealing with ways to be safe, live viably and stay ‘sane.’ For our household, a daily walk or hike has been the highlight, and we have certainly discovered a few gems!
One insomniac night, I ‘found’ a creative outlet that I hope will be the Win-Win! that I envision.
Currently, we have 4 weeks projected out of “more-of-the-same.” I know it’ll probably be longer, but ‘one day at a time’ has taken on a whole new meaning, so I am focusing on the month of April.
Each week, I am going to post 5 pictures. Five pictures of locations in beautiful Buffalo and the Greater Western New York area. FIVE pictures each week for FOUR weeks. (That’s 20 answers for those who like clarity!)
The challenge is to tell me, as specifically as you can, the location of each ‘gem.’ The first person with the most accurate and specific answer will get a point. Only one point per picture will be given.
Here is an example: You see a picture of Delaware Park. Your answer: Delaware Park. Someone else’s answer (which comes in after yours…) The west side of Hoyt Lake @ Delaware Park. Guess who’ll get the point!?
At the end of April, I will tally who has the most points, and I will send the winner a $50 gift certificate to a local WNY restaurant that is doing take out service. Yep, you could win $50 just for playing along; if you are not in the area, you can still play along for the fun of it! (and see some awesome sights!)
Some of the pictures will be ‘easy.’ Some sights, I had never seen BEFORE I captured the shot! Let’s see how well you know your home town… And hopefully I can ‘introduce you to few new beauties!
This way, I keep walking. I keep getting to TAKE pictures. You have a chance to see some great pictures of our beautiful town and surrounding areas. A restaurant gets more business, and YOU could win a wonderful meal or two!
I hope this IDEA, that has EMERGED out of chaos and ‘the unknown,’ will bring a little joy to your day…
Another moment to embrace our gift of life!
Here are the first FIVE pictures! ENJOY, and I HOPE YOU JOIN IN!
KEEP this in mind: As the weeks progress, you may find more than one picture of the same location (there are so many beautiful moments even in one walk!)
I only know the Buffalo Lighthouse standing on the walkway just north of where the Moondance launches from.
Thank you for playing!
